"Global Voices," is an excellent international site worth checking out. They started at an international bloggers' meeting held at Harvard in 2004. Their link is below.

As they say in communication there are:

Windows - only looking in/out - no interaction.
Cafes - where people meet to talk, sharing ideas, information, images and experiences and...
Bridges - serving to connect and link people around the planet. Diversity and multiple ways of communicating to raise awareness on a global scale. Global Voices is a Bridge.
