weave wool season colors
into old mountain fabrics
protecting brown bear families
preparing their winter solitude
bow low

o west wind
o glorious lions
at the entrance

Women laugh, cut, cook, stack fruit, chat,
Gossip, feed fires with kindling and charcoal,
